In a world... where independent filmmakers and artists struggle to be seen, Out of Focus Films embodies the true sprit of independent cinema.

Raised in South Georgia, I always had an obsession with story making and movies. It wasn't until my third year of college, however that I decided to make film my life. With my new job at a local news station running cameras, I discovered there were other people on the planet as crazed as me -- other people who could communicate their entire existence simply by quoting movies.

From that day forward, I focused my attentions on turning my stories into films. In the beginning, filmmaking was a struggle, I found myself sitting at the editing table with lots of footage, lots of ideas but not a lot of substance-and in some cases, shots were literally out of focus. The name for Out of Focus arrived out of that... what filmmakers of all kinds have been struggling with since the invent of the first picture box, that age old problem of turning something into nothing. As people in the film industry love to say, 'fix it in post', that's just what I learned to do.

Today I work on a variety of projects doing everything from writing to directing to editing. My focus, storytelling - the heart of making a phenomenal film.
